Kohl’s Field Trip LLC
Last updated: December 2025
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Everything here is written by one traveler for other travelers, so the rules are short, honest, and human.
Who runs this site
Kohl’s Field Trip LLC is a one-person company registered in the United States.
Address: 601 Wabash St, Michigan City, IN 46360, US

What this site actually is
A personal travel blog where I share routes I’ve walked myself, photos I’ve taken, and tips I’ve learned the hard way. Most of it is free forever. Occasionally I sell digital extras (deeper guides, maps, printable checklists) for a few dollars. That’s the whole business model.
Content ownership and your rights
Everything I write, photograph, or draw is mine (copyright © Kohl’s Field Trip LLC). You’re welcome to read it, share it with friends, print it for your own trip, even read it out loud on a train for entertainment. Just don’t sell it, republish it commercially, or claim you wrote it. If you want to feature something on your own site or in a publication, write me first; I usually say yes and it takes thirty seconds.
Accuracy and real life
I triple-check every bus number and opening time when I publish, but cities change, cafés close, borders get weird. I’m not a travel agency and I’m definitely not your insurer. You’re responsible for checking current conditions, visa rules, and whether that street-food stall still exists. If something I wrote saves you time or money, awesome. If a ferry schedule changed and you miss a boat, I’ll feel terrible but I’m not legally liable.
Paid digital products
When you buy a guide or map pack, you get instant access by email. Because delivery is immediate and the files can be copied, sales are final once the download link is clicked or the attachment opened. If the file is broken or never arrives, write me within 30 days and I’ll either fix it or refund you the same hour.
Behavior on the site
Be decent. No spam, no hate, no trying to hack a simple travel blog (seriously, it’s not worth your time). I reserve the right to delete comments that ruin the vibe and block anyone who can’t play nice.
Links to other places
Sometimes I link to a hotel I liked or a small booking site that treats travelers fairly. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning if you book something I earn a tiny commission at no extra cost to you. I only link to places I’ve used myself and would use again.
Limitation of liability
I’m a guy with a backpack, not a multinational corporation. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kohl’s Field Trip LLC isn’t liable for anything that happens while you’re following my stories: missed flights, food poisoning from that amazing taco stand, or falling in love with a city and never coming home. Travel is risky and wonderful; that’s on you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. If we ever have a disagreement (highly unlikely), we’ll try to solve it over coffee or email first.
Changes to these terms
If something important changes, I’ll update the date at the top and mention it on the site. Using the site after changes means you accept the new version.
Questions or something feels off
Write or call anytime. I answer myself, usually quickly, even if I’m halfway up a mountain with one bar of signal.
